About the Store

Whole Foods Market Hillcrest opened in 1997 and was the second location to open in San Diego County. We are located just north of the infamous Gaslamp District and Little Italy, and right off the 163 freeway in the heart of Hillcrest.

The store features the freshest sustainable seafood, compassionately raised organic meat, a huge assortment of organic produce, in-house prepared foods including stone oven pizzas, custom made sandwiches and more. Our beer aisle boasts hundreds of craft beers to choose from. We also offer an extensive catering menu for all events and parties.

We focus on sourcing product from local vendors and growers and our food is always free of artificial preservatives, sweeteners, colorings and flavors.

Our 7th Ave Pub offers 32 beers on tap and a funky pub-grub menu. As always, our food is free of artificial flavoring, coloring, sweeteners and preservatives. Our meat is free of added hormones, antibiotics and growth hormones. So come on in for a cold beer & delicious grub!
