Bradley International Airport serves the city of Hartford, Connecticut, and the surrounding areas known as Hartford County. It’s located about 20 minutes north of the city on I91, and Avis’s line-up of quality Bradley International Airport rental cars will make the drive easy. You can pick up the Avis Car Rental shuttle just outside each of the airport’s terminals. From there, it’s a quick ride to the Avis Hartford airport car rentals facility.

PREFERRED SERVICE

• Follow signs to the baggage claim area. Proceed outside to the Avis courtesy bus, identify yourself as a Preferred Renter, and the bus driver will take you to the rental car facility.

• Upon arrival at the rental facility, check your email on your smartphone or the Preferred board for the space number of your preassigned vehicle.
  You have the option to accept the preassigned car or exchange it for a similar car from the Select & Go Exchange Area or upgrade the car to a specialty vehicle from the Select & Go Upgrade Area. Cars in the Select & Go Upgrade Area have the additional daily cost posted on the hangtag.
  Once you have selected your vehicle, drive the vehicle to the exit booth and present your driver's license to the Avis representative who will quickly complete the transaction and get you on your way.

*GENERAL DIRECTIONS*

• COUNTER: Proceed outside the terminal at the lower level by baggage claim to the roadway. Customers arriving at Terminal A (New); will need to proceed outside to the 1st roadway. Customers arriving at Terminal B (Old); will need to proceed outside to the second roadway. Take the Avis shuttle bus to the Car Rental Facility.
  VEHICLES: Located on the ready line outside the Car Rental Facility.
  RETURNS: Same as pickup.
  AFTER-HOURS RETURNS: Available. Park & leave the KEY in the vehicle. Take the completed contract & leave a copy with the Security Guard on the way out. **NOTE: between the hours of 0100 & approximately 0330, NO Avis shuttle buses are running to the Terminals. Terminals are approximately 1 mile away. **
