Chef Donald became interested in being a chef when he used to watch old cooking shows on public television, including Great Chefs, Julia Child, Yan Can Cook, Lidia's Italian Table, Frugal Gourmet--shows that were around well before The Food Network. He quickly fell in love with cooking, learning and eating. Now that Chef Donald is an Executive Chef with us, he says his favorite thing about working at Maggiano's is the people. He feels that it's great to work with people that truly enjoy being around other people. Chef Donald's most memorable experience at Maggiano's was when a Make-A-Wish family was coming in for dinner at his restaurant. The little girl in the family who had been diagnosed with cancer loved Disney princess everything , and the staff made a huge Disney dessert platter for her and her family, complete with a crown and all. The "icing on top"--even better than seeing the little girl's smile--was that she and her brothers requested that Chef Donald stay at their table and enjoy the cake with them.

The Scottsdale Maggiano's is located at the corner of Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright, featuring a mix of big-name retailers and specialty shops. Conveniently located in the Frank Lloyd Wright Commemorative Gardens, the Scottsdale Maggiano's offers both value and style.
Designed to accent the Frank Lloyd Wright Garden, our restaurant features stained glass windows and doors. Sculptures of animals are located in one area, while prominently displayed around the fountain are sculptures by an apprentice of Wright, Heloise Crista.
