About this Park

The Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens are situated against the majestic Ko'olau Range and offer the only city campsites that are not on the beach. Set in a picturesque rainforest, the Kahua Nui campgrounds are the largest in the park offering 15 campsites. Access to the Large Group Campsite and the pavilion are obtained by contacting the park directly at (808) 233-7323. A printed permit is required to camp in this park. All fees are non-refundable.

Bus route 55/ 56/ 65/ 77 then 2 _ miles to Visitors Center. Campers may access the park from 5:30 pm to 6:30pm. Visitors to campsites must exit the park by 9:15pm.
